The conservancy was established to recover Hirola population and protect its natural range and at the same time conservation other wildlife and do rangelands management for the wildlife and livestock.This is done through:

Uphold the by-laws of the Conservancy on the conservation and management of natural resources; and uphold the laws of Kenya (e.g. Forest    and Wildlife Acts): BY

• Promote peace and good governance
• Improve livelihood
• Ensuring productive rangeland(grazing management plans and rangelands rehabilitation)
• Wildlife security and environmental protection(security patrols,wildlife monitoring,prevention of illegal logging and forest destruction)
• Stakeholders engagement and Partnership development
• Community awareness
